Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process. Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes, statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect. If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes made to the current law.

    Sec. 22.4. Low-interest loans for child care facilities; Department of Human Services. The Department of Human Services may establish, with financing to be provided through the issuance of bonds by the Illinois Finance Authority pursuant to the Illinois Finance Authority Act, a low-interest loan program to help child care centers and family day care homes accomplish the following:
        (a) establish a child care program;
        (b) meet federal, State and local child care
    
standards as well as any applicable health and safety standards; or
        (c) build facilities or renovate or expand existing
    
facilities.
    Such loans shall be available only to child care centers and family day care homes serving children of low income families.
