Updating the database of the Illinois Compiled Statutes (ILCS) is an ongoing process.
Recent laws may not yet be included in the ILCS database, but they are found on this site as
Public
Acts soon after they become law. For information concerning the relationship between statutes and Public Acts, refer to the
Guide.
Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes,
statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect.
If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has
not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already
been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes
made to the current law.

Sec. 20-21. Adult Use Cultivation Center License. (a) A person or entity is only eligible to receive an Adult Use Cultivation Center License if the person or entity has first been awarded a Conditional Adult Use Cultivation Center License pursuant to this Act or the person or entity has renewed its Early Approval Cultivation Center License pursuant to subsection (c) of Section 20-10. (b) The Department of Agriculture shall not issue an Adult Use Cultivation Center License until: (1) the Department of Agriculture has inspected the |
| cultivation center site and proposed operations and verified that they are in compliance with this Act and local zoning laws;

(2) the Conditional Adult Use Cultivation Center
|
| License holder has paid a registration fee of $100,000 or a prorated amount accounting for the difference of time between when the Adult Use Cultivation Center License is issued and March 31 of the next even-numbered year; and
|
|
(3) The Conditional Adult Use Cultivation Center
|
| License holder has met all the requirements in the Act and rules.
