Because the statute database is maintained primarily for legislative drafting purposes,
statutory changes are sometimes included in the statute database before they take effect.
If the source note at the end of a Section of the statutes includes a Public Act that has
not yet taken effect, the version of the law that is currently in effect may have already
been removed from the database and you should refer to that Public Act to see the changes
made to the current law.

Sec. 40. Protection of methamphetamine manufacturing. (a) It is unlawful to engage in the protection of methamphetamine manufacturing. A person engages in the protection of methamphetamine manufacturing when:
(1) the person knows that others have been |
| participating, are participating, or will be participating in the manufacture of methamphetamine; and

(2) with the intent to help prevent detection of or
|
| interference with the methamphetamine manufacturing, the person serves as a lookout for or guard of the methamphetamine manufacturing.

(b) A person who violates subsection (a) of this Section is guilty of a Class 2 felony.
