ELEC CD-REGLTD ENTITY-CONTRIB                                              

Synopsis of Bill as introduced:
        Amends the Election Code.   Prohibits  a  regulated  entity  from      
   making  a  contribution to a public official or a candidate for public      
   office.  Defines "regulated entity".  Provides that a violation  is  a      
   Class A misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $5000.               
          FISCAL NOTE (Dept. of Corrections)                                   
          There will be no fiscal impact on this Department.                   
          CORRECTINAL NOTE                                                     
          No change from DOC fiscal note.                                      
          FISCAL NOTE (State Board of Elections)                               
          There would be minimal fiscal impact on SBE.                         
          STATE MANDATES FISCAL NOTE                                           
          In the opinion of DCCA, HB 77 fails to create a State mandate        
          under the State Mandates Act.
