 1               AMENDMENT TO HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 12
 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Joint Resolution  12  on
 3    page 2, by replacing everything after line 28 and all of page
 4    3 with the following:
 5        "RESOLVED,   BY  THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
 6    NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF  THE  STATE  OF  ILLINOIS,  THE
 7    SENATE   CONCURRING   HEREIN,   that  we  urge  the  Illinois
 8    delegation to encourage a positive decision by the  Secretary
 9    of  the Interior on these matters which extend the boundaries
10    of the Illinois and Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor
11    from Harlem Avenue to Lake Michigan and  create  the  Calumet
12    Ecological Park; and be it further
13        RESOLVED,  That  suitable  copies  of  this resolution be
14    presented to the President pro tempore of the  United  States
15    Senate,   the   Speaker   of   the  United  States  House  of
16    Representatives,  and  to  each  member   of   the   Illinois
17    Congressional Delegation.".
