 1               AMENDMENT TO HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION 12
 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Joint Resolution  12  on
 3    page 2, by replacing everything after line 28 and all of page
 4    3 with the following:
 5        "RESOLVED,   BY  THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES  OF  THE
 6    NINETIETH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF  THE  STATE  OF  ILLINOIS,  THE
 7    SENATE   CONCURRING   HEREIN,   that  we  urge  the  Illinois
 8    congressional delegation to encourage a positive decision  by
 9    the  Secretary  of the Interior on those matters which extend
10    the boundaries of the Illinois and  Michigan  Canal  National
11    Heritage  Corridor  from  Harlem  Avenue to Lake Michigan and
12    create the Calumet Ecological Park; and be it further
13        RESOLVED, That suitable  copies  of  this  resolution  be
14    presented  to  the President pro tempore of the United States
15    Senate,  the  Speaker  of  the   United   States   House   of
16    Representatives,   and   to   each  member  of  the  Illinois
17    Congressional Delegation.".
