 1        AN ACT in relation to privatization of  nursing  services
 2    in Illinois correctional facilities.

 3        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:

 5        Section 1. Short title.  This Act may  be  cited  as  the
 6    Correctional   Facilities   Nursing   Services  Privatization
 7    Regulation Act.

 8        Section  5.  Contracts.   Contracts  that   include   the
 9    privatization   of  nursing  care  services  at  correctional
10    facilities shall contain a requirement that  the  vendor  may
11    not pay wages and benefits at a rate lower than that provided
12    to entry level State nurses.

13        Section  10.   Application.   This  Act  applies  only to
14    contracts entered into on or after the effective date of this
15    Act.
