Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Ambulatory Surgical Treatment Center Act. Makes a technical change in the Section concerning the short title.

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Hospital Licensing Act. Requires that a license fee accompany an application for a license to open, conduct, operate, and maintain a hospital. Provides that the Department shall deposit all fees and fines collected in relation to the licensure of hospitals into the Hospital Licensure Fund. Provides that the Hospital Licensure Fund shall be used to provide programs, information, or assistance designed to improve patient safety and quality in hospitals. Amends the State Finance Act to create the Hospital Licensure Fund. Effective immediately.
