SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert M. "Bob" Gorman, who passed away on August 26, 2019 at the age of 61; and

WHEREAS, Robert Gorman was born on November 12, 1957 and lived a happy, full life with his family and wife of 24 years, Maureen; he was lovingly referred to as "Mr. Mom" by his children, Tess, Seamus, and Pearse; and

WHEREAS, Robert Gorman enjoyed nature and loved to take in the beauty of the many plants, insects, and animals he encountered; he was a loving owner to his dog, Louis "Toulouse"; and

WHEREAS, Robert Gorman admired great art and took as much time as he could to cherish his favorite paintings; and

WHEREAS, Robert Gorman was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Gorman; and

WHEREAS, Robert Gorman is survived by his wife, Maureen; his children, Tess, Seamus, and Pearse; his siblings, Larry (Susan), Terese (Greg) Black, Christine, Maura, and Jack; and countless other cousins, nephews, and nieces; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert Gorman and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert Gorman as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
