SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Randy Hellmann of Carlyle, who passed away on March 13, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Randy Hellmann was born to Beverly Hellmann and Daniel Brassel in Breese on November 5, 1962; he married Lisa Vogel in Bartelso on May 10, 1986; and

WHEREAS, Randy Hellmann retired from the Illinois Department of Corrections after 32 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Currently, Randy Hellmann served as the staff representative for AFSCME Council 31; and

WHEREAS, Randy Hellmann loved being outdoors with his family; he was also a talented taxidermist who loved sharing his trophies with family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Randy Hellmann was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Hellmann; his father; his father-in-law, James Vogel; his grandmother, Vernell Hellmann; and his uncle, Gordon Hellmann; and

WHEREAS, Randy Hellmann is survived by his wife; his son, Michael Hellmann; his grandson, Joshua Hellmann; his mother; his two brothers, Kirk (Vicki) Holtmann and Nathan (Amy) Holtmann; his mother-in-law, Jeanette Vogel; his brother-in-law, Jeff (Geralyn) Vogel; and his aunts and uncles, Garry and Anne Hellmann, Leroy and Carolyn Hellmann, and Sandy Hellmann; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Randy Hellmann and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Randy Hellmann as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
