SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Larry Lozell Nunn of Rock Island, who passed away on March 4, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Larry Nunn was born in Moline to Albert and Ellen Nunn on March 11, 1948; he served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and married Lorraine Meredith at Duck Creek Park on September 30, 2006; and

WHEREAS, Larry Nunn was employed as a Flight Standardization Engineer with the Iowa National Guard; and

WHEREAS, Larry Nunn was a member of Heritage Church in Rock Island and the Veterans of Foreign War; he was Past Commander of the Rock Island V.F.W. and past member of the V.F.W. Council and Past 8th District Commander; his hobbies included trains, sitting by the water, and traveling; he loved attending his grandchildren's sporting events and school functions and spending time with his family; and

WHEREAS, Larry Nunn was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Jack Nunn, Mary Kay Fanning, Robert Nunn, and Terry McCleary; and

WHEREAS, Larry Nunn is survived by his wife, Lorraine; his children, Krista Sloan, Jason (Sarah) Nunn, Audra (Fletcher) Ford, and Ashley (Chad) Jacks; his grandchildren, Nick Krebs, Miranda Sloan, Stephen (Heather) Sloan, Trevor, Carson, and Maddox Nunn, Cammeron, Ashlyn, Logan, Isabella, and Carter Ford, Colby Zank, and Andrew and Emily Jacks; his great-grandchildren, Elsie and Kalvin Krebs, Lily Bessert, and Parker Sloan; his special nephew, Jim (Julie) Fanning; and his siblings, David (Jody) Nunn, Richard Nunn, and Mike (Mary Jo) McCleary; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Larry Lozell Nunn and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Larry Nunn as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
