SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Robert "Bob" Bollman of Cantrall, who
4passed away on February 11, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bob Bollman was born in Springfield to Gladys and
6Paul Bollman on July 8, 1938; he graduated from Lanphier High
7School in 1956; he married Janice Arlene Pehlman on November
82, 1957; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Bob Bollman worked at Kroger in Springfield and
10then in several different trades, including building houses
11and owning his own electrical business; he then opened his own
12pool and spa business, Bollman's Pool & Spa Co., where he
13enjoyed many years of working with his family; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Bob Bollman was raised in the Third Presbyterian
15Church; he then attended Elliott Avenue Baptist Church, where
16he was baptized and married; most recently, he was a member of
17the Athens Christian Church; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Bob Bollman's most enjoyable activities were
19being a Mason with Tyrian Lodge #333 AF & AM, where he served
20as Worshipful Master and a Shriner; he made many great friends
21and gave his all for the mission of supporting children in

1need; he was honored to be Potentate of the Ansar Shrine in
21994 and served as treasurer for seven years; he also enjoyed
3woodworking, planting trees on his property, restoring his
4fathers '56 Chevy, and working on basically anything, but
5spending time with his family was what he enjoyed the most; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Bob Bollman was preceded in death by his
7daughter, Deanna; his parents; his brothers, Earl, Jim,
8Roland, and Richard; and his sisters, Norma Gebhardt and Mary
9Alice Benjamin; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Bob Bollman is survived by his wife of 65 years,
11Janice; his children, Don (Melissa), Doug (Denise), and
12Danice; and his grandchildren, Haley, Charlie, Madeline, and
13Sophia; therefore, be it
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
15ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
16Robert "Bob" Bollman and extend our sincere condolences to his
17family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
18further
 
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to the family of Bob Bollman as an expression of our
21deepest sympathy.
