215 ILCS 5/143.13b new

    Amends the Illinois Insurance Code. Requires that an at-fault motorist report an accident to his or her insurance provider within 10 days after an accident.

1     AN ACT concerning regulation.

2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:

4     Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by adding
5 Section 143.13b as follows:

6     (215 ILCS 5/143.13b new)
7     Sec. 143.13b. At-fault motorist; reporting. Any at-fault
8 motorist must report an accident to his or her insurance
9 provider within 10 days after an accident.
