SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Susan H. Kenley-Rupnow of Hoffman Estates, who passed away on February 14, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Susan was a member of the District 211 school board and Children's Advocacy Center board; she served as a village trustee for 20 years, and was a past district director for the Boy Scouts of America, a former president of the Schaumburg Jaycees Women, as well as a youth softball and soccer coach, an elder of Church of the Cross, and an avid supporter of the Hoffman Estates High School girls cross country team; and

WHEREAS, She owned Target Promotions for 14 years and most recently worked for Cabela's; and

WHEREAS, She was a well respected member of the Hoffman Estates community and will be remembered for her work as a village trustee and volunteer to many service organizations; and

WHEREAS, She is survived by her loving husband, Michael J. Rupnow; she was the loving mother of Kristin (Jeff) Beutel, Scott Kenley, and Kathleen Kenley; the dear grandmother of Megan Beutel; the beloved daughter of John and Frances Harmon; and the dear sister of John (Nancy) Harmon and Tom Harmon; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Susan H. Kenley-Rupnow; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Susan Kenley-Rupnow as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
