HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Robert Carl Lubkeman of Antioch, who passed away on February 5, 2011; and

WHEREAS, Robert Carl Lubkeman was born in Antioch on August 13, 1934 and was a lifelong resident; he was the son of Arthur and Rose Lubkeman; he graduated from Antioch Township High School in 1952 and from Bradley University in 1956, where he was member of Theta Chi Fraternity; and

WHEREAS, He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle as well as an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, beekeeper, cook, and baker; and

WHEREAS, He served in the United States Army and Army Reserves where he was commissioned a First Lieutenant and served as company commander; he spent his career as a construction designer at the Antioch Lumber and Coal Company; Facilities Manager of the Harris Bank and Trust Company (Chicago); and National Facilities Manager of the A. C. Nielsen Company (Northbrook); he was also engaged in his own business, Lake Region Home Design; and

WHEREAS, He was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church (Antioch), the Antioch Lions' Club, and he was a Paul Harris Fellow of the Antioch Rotary Club; he was the charter president of the Antioch Jaycees; and he was a member of the Southeastern Wisconsin Beekeepers' Association; and

WHEREAS, Robert Lubkeman is survived by his wife of 53 years, Annette (nee Erickson); his sons, Marc (Nancy) and Matthew; his granddaughters, Britta, Erica, and Linnea Lubkeman; his brother, Donald (Justine); his niece, Joanne Witt (William); and his nephews, Kenneth and Lonnie; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Robert Lubkeman; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert Lubkeman as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
