SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Richard F. "Dick" Quigley, who passed away on August 11, 2011; and

WHEREAS, He was a lifelong farmer and resident of the Wilmington area, a Chicago Cubs fan, and an expert at the gift of gab; and

WHEREAS, He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who doted upon his family and grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Mary (nee McCormick); his brother, Marvin J. Quigley Jr.; and his father-in-law, Arthur Residori; and

WHEREAS, Richard Quigley is survived by his loving wife of 40 years JoAnn (nee Residori) Quigley; his children, Theresa, Matthew (Rhonda), Patrick (Tracy), Margaret (Robert) Gabriel, Kathryn (Craig) Long, and Jaclyn Quigley; his grandchildren, Kasey, Mitchell, Anna, Emily, Madison, Natalie, James, Nicci, Gavin, Braden, and Baby Long due in November; his brothers, Michael (Patricia), Paul, and William Quigley; his sister, Irene (Lawrence) Walsh; his uncle, Timothy McCormick; his mother-in-law, Anna Mae Residori; his sisters-in-law, Beverly (Michael) Hogan and Mary (Saul) Paulius; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Richard Quigley; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Richard Quigley as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
