SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Queen Esther Tramble of Chicago, who passed away on July 8, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Queen Tramble was born on September 10, 1960, in Chicago to Ella Mae Haymon and Cornelius Tramble; following the passing of her parents at a young age, she moved to Saint Louis, Missouri, and attended Central High School; and

WHEREAS, Queen Tramble returned to Chicago and was raised by Victoria Woods; she met Aldophus "Al" Kindle during the Harold Washington election campaign and he recruited her to work for the re-election campaign; they were married on October 26, 1996; and

WHEREAS, Queen Tramble volunteered and worked for the Chicago Housing Authority for approximately 15 years in a variety of positions that dealt with outreach services; she loved working with children and families in public housing and fought for programs and equal opportunities for all; she was a tireless advocate for youth education and life advancement and received numerous awards and certificates; she worked for a brief time for the Express Bus Company; and

WHEREAS, Queen Tramble was a member of Kingdom of Christ Baptist Church, where she was an active member of the choir and the usher board; and

WHEREAS, Queen Tramble was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Gloria Tramble; and her brother, Irving Tramble; and

WHEREAS, Queen Tramble is survived by her husband, Al Kindle; her daughters, Surrebea Tramble and Chantia and Kamilah Kindle; her sons, Darnell Johnson and Atukwe Kindle; her sisters, Annie, Princetta, and Telecia Tramble; her brother, Troy Tramble; her grandchildren, Mariah Perrin, Tyronnesha Watson, Daniel Roberts Jr., and Adrian Johnson; her close friends, Helen Bowman, Brenda Brown, Laura Bass, and Lashawn Waiters; and a host of nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Queen Esther Tramble, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Queen Tramble as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
