SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Nancy L. Bearce of Washington, who passed away on October 13, 2011; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Bearce was born on February 24, 1935, in Peoria; her parents were Ralph and Garnet Martin Lorber; she married John H. Bearce on July 26, 1958, at St. Mary's Cathedral in Peoria; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Bearce was a member of numerous organizations, including the Easter Seals House of Dreams and on the Eureka College Advisory Board; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Bearce was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Washington; she was also active in the Cursillo movement; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Bearce enjoyed cooking; she also enjoyed a good game of any kind, but was passionate for a good game of golf; she scored 2 holes-in-one throughout her time on the golf course; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Bearce was preceded in death by her son-in-law, David Mello; her sister, Doris McIlvaney; and her brother, Robert Lorber; and

WHEREAS, Nancy Bearce is survived by her loving husband; her daughters, Amy Bearce, Suzie (Robert) Pschirrer, and Jodi Bearce-Mello; her grandchildren, Haley Pschirrer, Lauren Pschirrer, Lauren Mello, and Korrine Mello; her great-granddaughter, Adrianna Marie Mello; and her sister, June Haslett; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Nancy L. Bearce; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Nancy Bearce as an expression of our sympathy.
