SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Robert S. Anderson of Waukegan, who passed away on September 22, 2012; and

WHEREAS, Robert Anderson was born on April 22, 1928, in Waukegan and remained a lifelong resident; he graduated from Waukegan High School in 1946, and served with the 1st Airborne Division in the U.S. Army; he married Lorraine M. Drahos on October 28, 1950; and

WHEREAS, Robert Anderson worked for ComEd for 38 years and retired in 1988; he was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Zion Benton #667 and Sportsman Club; and

WHEREAS, Robert Anderson was an avid fisherman; he spent a lot of time on his boat on Lake Michigan and took trips to Canada on Lake Superior; his winter passion was to work on model trains; each spring he planted hundreds of flowers and landscaped his yard; and

WHEREAS, Robert Anderson was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine and his father, Clarence E. Anderson; and

WHEREAS, Robert Anderson is survived by his children, Vicki (Tim) Parker, Craig Anderson, and Lynn Anderson (Dave Kennedy); his grandchildren, Brian (Kris) Nichols, Charles (Tracy) Nichols, and Patrick Parker; his 6 great-grandchildren; his sister, Betty Brown; and his 2 nieces and a nephew; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert Anderson, and we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert Anderson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
