1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 911
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 911 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:

4     "Section 5. The Environmental Protection Act is amended by
5 adding Section 10.1 as follows:

6     (415 ILCS 5/10.1 new)
7     Sec. 10.1. Ordinance required. Notwithstanding any other
8 provision of this Act, any municipality with a population
9 between 4,000 and 6,000 located in a county with a population
10 over 5,000,000 must adopt an ordinance prohibiting all burning
11 of landscape waste by January 1, 2005. This Section is repealed
12 January 1, 2008.

13     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
14 becoming law.".
