 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1107

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 1107,  on  page  1,
 3    line 7, after "Assistive", by inserting "technology"; and

 4    on   page   1,  line  14,  after  "assistive",  by  inserting
 5    "technology"; and

 6    on page 1, by replacing line 29 with the following:
 7        "(c) In this Section:
 8        "Small business" means a business"; and

 9    on page  2,  immediately  below  line  1,  by  inserting  the
10    following:
11        "Assistive  technology  device"  means any item, piece of
12    equipment, or product system, whether acquired  commercially,
13    off  the  shelf,  modified,  or  customized,  that is used to
14    increase, maintain, or  improve  functional  capabilities  of
15    individuals with disabilities.".
