 1                    AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1482

 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill  1482  on  page  4,
 3    line 4, after "Office" by inserting "and shall be accompanied
 4    by proof of general liability insurance in an amount not less
 5    than $2,000,000"; and

 6    on  page  4,  by  replacing  lines  5  through  28  with  the
 7    following:
 8        "(a)  After  December  1, 2003, all pyrotechnic displays,
 9    both indoor and outdoor, must comply  with  the  requirements
10    set forth in this Act."; and

11    by  replacing  lines 33 and 34 on page 4 and line 1 on page 5
12    with the following:
13    "who presents a current BATF license and  a  local  fireworks
14    display  permit  from  the  local  fire  chief  or his or her
15    designee. Applicants for a license must submit to"; and

16    on page 19, by replacing line 5 with the following:
17    "display shall be in full compliance with the 2000 edition of
18    the  National  Fire  Protection  Association  1123  Code  for
19    Fireworks Display or with the 2001 edition  of  the  National
20    Fire   Protection   Association   Standard  for  the  Use  of
21    Pyrotechnics before a Proximate Audience  and  shall  not  be
22    hazardous to property or endanger any".
