 1        AN ACT relating to school students.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The School Code is amended by adding  Section
 5    34-18.26 as follows:

 6        (105 ILCS 5/34-18.26 new)
 7        Sec.  34-18.26.  Prison  tour  pilot  program.  The board
 8    shall  establish  a  pilot  program  to  prevent   crime   by
 9    developing   guidelines  to  identify  students  at  risk  of
10    committing crimes, but who are not yet disciplinary problems.
11    This  program,  in  cooperation  with   the   Department   of
12    Corrections, shall include a guided tour of a prison for each
13    student   so  identified  in  order  to  discourage  criminal
14    behavior.

15        Section 90.  The State Mandates Act is amended by  adding
16    Section 8.27 as follows:

17        (30 ILCS 805/8.27 new)
18        Sec.  8.27.  Exempt  mandate.  Notwithstanding Sections 6
19    and 8 of this Act, no reimbursement by the State is  required
20    for  the  implementation  of  any  mandate  created  by  this
21    amendatory Act of the 93rd General Assembly.
