AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2981

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2981 as follows:

on page 9, immediately below line 4, by inserting the following:

"(3) Any lender whose loan is secured by a mortgage on an owner-occupied single family residence must provide the mortgagor with a notice, in a form prescribed by the Authority, within 120 days after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 93rd General Assembly and annually thereafter. The notice must inform the mortgagor of the existence of the Fund and provide directions for enrollment in the Homeowner's Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program. This notice of the option to enroll in the Program must include a disclaimer clearly stating that being enrolled in the Program does not guarantee that the mortgagor will receive assistance payments under the Program."; and

on page 9, line 5, by changing "(3)" to "(4)"; and

on page 9, line 14, by changing "(4)" to "(5)".
