SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

105 ILCS 230/5-27 new

    Amends the School Construction Law. Provides that all school construction projects financed pursuant to the Law are subject to applicable local building codes. Effective immediately.

1     AN ACT concerning education.

2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:

4     Section 5. The School Construction Law is amended by adding
5 Section 5-27 as follows:

6     (105 ILCS 230/5-27 new)
7     Sec. 5-27. Local building codes. All school construction
8 projects financed pursuant to this Law are subject to
9 applicable local building codes.

10     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
11 becoming law.
