AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4572

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4572, AS AMENDED, with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No. 1, on page 1, by replacing line 6 with the following: "50-5 and by adding Sections 20-20.5 and 25-20.5 as follows:

(5 ILCS 430/20-20.5 new)

Sec. 20-20.5. Badges. Each Executive Inspector General may issue shields or other distinctive identification to his or her investigative staff, if that Executive Inspector General determines that a shield or distinctive identification is needed to carry out the investigative responsibilities of the Office of the Executive Inspector General."; and

on page 3, by inserting below line 23 the following:

"(5 ILCS 430/25-20.5 new)

The Legislative Inspector General may issue shields or other distinctive identification to his or her investigative staff, if the Legislative Inspector General determines that a shield or distinctive identification is needed to carry out the investigative responsibilities of the Office of the Legislative Inspector General.".
