AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4955

2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4955 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:
 
4     "Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section
5 34-18.33 as follows:
 
6     (105 ILCS 5/34-18.33 new)
7     Sec. 34-18.33. Morgan Park High School; Bogan Computer
8 Technical High School.
9     (a) The board shall prohibit Morgan Park High School and
10 Bogan Computer Technical High School from each having, at any
11 one time, more than the following number of students:
12         (1) For the 2006-2007 school year, 450 students in
13     grade 9.
14         (2) For the 2007-2008 school year, 450 students in each
15     of grades 9 and 10.
16         (3) For the 2008-2009 school year, 450 students in each
17     of grades 9, 10, and 11.
18         (4) For the 2009-2010 school year and each school year
19     thereafter until the high school's total enrollment
20     reaches 1,800 students, 450 students in each of grades 9,
21     10, 11, and 12.
22 Once the high school's total enrollment reaches 1,800 students,
23 the board shall prohibit the high school from having more than
24 1,800 students enrolled at any one time.

1     (b) The board shall prohibit Morgan Park High School and
2 Bogan Computer Technical High School from accepting a student
3 for enrollment if the student resides outside the high school's
4 local attendance area, as set by the board.
5     (c) The board shall prohibit students of Morgan Park High
6 School and Bogan Computer Technical High School from leaving
7 school grounds during the lunch hour, except for academic
8 reasons and school-sponsored events.
 
9     Section 90. The State Mandates Act is amended by adding
10 Section 8.30 as follows:
 
11     (30 ILCS 805/8.30 new)
12     Sec. 8.30. Exempt mandate. Notwithstanding Sections 6 and 8
13 of this Act, no reimbursement by the State is required for the
14 implementation of any mandate created by this amendatory Act of
15 the 94th General Assembly.
 
16     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
17 becoming law.".
