SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

30 ILCS 500/20-155 new

Amends the Illinois Procurement Code. Provides that pre-award, post-award, administration, and close-out documents relating to a contract must be public after that contract is awarded. Effective immediately.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning procurement.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Procurement Code is amended by adding Section 20-155 as follows:

(30 ILCS 500/20-155 new)

Sec. 20-155. Public documents. Notwithstanding any provision of this Code or another law to the contrary, all pre-award, post-award, administration, and close-out documents relating to a contract shall be public following the award of that contract.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
