SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
70 ILCS 805/5.3   from Ch. 96 1/2, par. 6308.3

    Amends the Downstate Forest Preserve District Act. Provides that any district lands incorporated into a municipality organized after January 1, 2007 shall be deemed to be disconnected from the municipality unless the district gives express consent within 90 days after a court order declaring the municipality to be incorporated.

1     AN ACT concerning forest preserve districts.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Downstate Forest Preserve District Act is
5 amended by changing Section 5.3 as follows:
 
6     (70 ILCS 805/5.3)  (from Ch. 96 1/2, par. 6308.3)
7     Sec. 5.3. Property owned by a forest preserve district
8 shall not be subject to annexation or incorporation without
9 express consent of the forest preserve district. Any district
10 lands incorporated into a municipality organized after January
11 1, 2007 shall be deemed to be disconnected from the
12 municipality unless the district gives express consent to
13 inclusion of those lands within 90 days after a court order
14 declaring the municipality to be incorporated.
