1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2858
2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2858 as follows:

3 on page 1, by replacing lines 8 through 10 with the following:
4 "(a) For the purposes of this Section, "trans fat" means
5 fat that is considered trans fat by the U.S. Food and Drug
6 Administration. "Trans fat" does not include naturally
7 occurring trans fat. Food shall be deemed to contain trans fat
8 under this Section if the food is labeled as, lists as an
9 ingredient, or contains any kind of partially hydrogenated
10 vegetable oil, including without limitation vegetable
11 shortening or margarine. However, food shall not be deemed to
12 contain trans fat under this Section if the food contains less
13 than 0.5 grams of trans fat per serving.".
