SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

New Act

Creates the Official United States Flag Act. Provides that each agency of the State government and each unit of local government shall ensure that each United States flag that is flown at each building, structure, or facility that is owned or occupied entirely by the agency or unit of local government is manufactured in the United States.

AN ACT concerning civil law.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the Official United States Flag Act.

Section 5. Flying the United States flag at public facilities. Each agency of the State government and each unit of local government shall ensure that each United States flag that is flown at each building, structure, or facility that is owned or occupied entirely by the agency of the State government or unit of local government is manufactured in the United States.
