SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

105 ILCS 5/27-2 rep.
    Amends the School Code. Repeals a Section requiring instruction in all public elementary and secondary schools to be in the English language.Effective July 1, 2017.

1     AN ACT concerning education.

2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:

4     (105 ILCS 5/27-2 rep.)
5     Section 5. The School Code is amended by repealing Section
6 27-2.

7     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1,
8 2017.
