1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5508
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5508, AS AMENDED, by
3 replacing everything after the enacting clause with the
4 following:

5     "Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the
6 Notice to Persons Experiencing Homelessness Act.

7     Section 5. Housing services and supports.
8     (a) If a unit of local government determines that a person
9 experiencing homelessness is living in a public space, the unit
10 of local government may provide the person with a list of
11 available housing and social services.
12     (b) A unit of local government may not remove the personal
13 belongings of a person experiencing homelessness unless it has
14 established a policy regarding the removal of those personal
15 belongings.".
