SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

410 ILCS 625/3.08 new

Amends the Food Handling Regulation Enforcement Act. Prohibits the use of latex gloves in food service establishments. Effective immediately.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning health.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Food Handling Regulation Enforcement Act is amended by adding Section 3.08 as follows:

(410 ILCS 625/3.08 new)

Sec. 3.08. Use of latex gloves prohibited. A food service establishment may not permit employees to use latex gloves in the conduct of its operations.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
