SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

215 ILCS 170/98 rep.

Amends the Covering ALL KIDS Health Insurance Act. Provides that the Auditor General shall cause an audit to be made of the Program on or before June 30, 2022 and every 3 years thereafter (rather than annually). Repeals provisions providing for repeal of the Act on October 1, 2019. Effective immediately.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Covering ALL KIDS Health Insurance Act is amended by changing Section 63 as follows:

Sec. 63. Audits by the Auditor General. The Auditor General shall annually cause an audit to be made of the Program on or before June 30, 2022 and every 3 years thereafter , beginning June 30, 2008 and each June 30th thereafter. The audit shall include payments for health services covered by the Program and contracts entered into by the Department in relation to the Program.

Section 10. The Covering ALL KIDS Health Insurance Act is amended by repealing Section 98.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
