SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

410 ILCS 70/11 new
    Amends the Sexual Assault Survivors Emergency Treatment Act. Provides that an adult sexual assault survivor, in addition to a treatment hospital, may be transferred to any treatment hospital with approved pediatric transfer. Effective immediately.

1     AN ACT concerning health.

2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:

4     Section 5. The Sexual Assault Survivors Emergency
5 Treatment Act is amended by adding Section 11 as follows:

6     (410 ILCS 70/11 new)
7     Sec. 11. Adult patient transfer. An adult sexual assault
8 survivor, in addition to a treatment hospital, may be
9 transferred to any treatment hospital with approved pediatric
10 transfer.

11     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
12 becoming law.
