| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Scott Gregory of Manito, who passed | 4 | | away on February 27, 2022; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Scott Gregory was born in Pekin to Ronald "Ron" | 6 | | and Nancy (Weithe) Gregory on January 22, 1959; he married | 7 | | Renee Hayn in Wichita, Kansas on June 9, 1984; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Scott Gregory worked as a concrete finisher and | 9 | | then as a field representative for Local #18; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Scott Gregory took great pride in helping the | 11 | | community; he coached wrestling and football and was a mentor | 12 | | to many; he was a member of the River City Blues Society in | 13 | | Peoria for many years and volunteered at Illinois Central | 14 | | College, helping students enter the trades program; he loved | 15 | | listening to music, riding motorcycles, and playing the | 16 | | lottery; he also enjoyed cooking for his catering business, | 17 | | Sammy Lynn Smokehouse; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Scott Gregory was preceded in death by his | 19 | | father, Ron Gregory, and his nephew, Wesley Kellerstrass; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Scott Gregory is survived by his wife, Renee; his |

| 1 | | mother, Nancy Burlingame; his stepmother, Paula Gregory; his | 2 | | children, Chris Johnson, Scotty (Nicole) Gregory, Stephanie | 3 | | (Kyle) Wolfe, and Samantha Gregory; seven grandchildren and | 4 | | eight great-grandchildren; his sister, Teresa (Pat) | 5 | | Kellerstrass; his half siblings, Niki (Rolly) Knobloch and | 6 | | Matt (Lisa) Gregory; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, | 7 | | be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | Scott Gregory and extend our sincere condolences to his | 11 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 12 | | further
