| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Thomas H. "Tom" Duckett of Colona, who | 4 | | passed away on June 13, 2022; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Tom Duckett was born to Ray and Cornelia (Stapf) | 6 | | Duckett in Moline on December 14, 1932; he graduated from | 7 | | Moline High School in 1951; he served in the U.S. Navy during | 8 | | the Korean Conflict, and he was honorably discharged in 1956; | 9 | | he attended college on the G.I. Bill; he was married to | 10 | | Clevelyn Rigdon from 1957 to 1963; he later married Luanne | 11 | | Ruth Paquette in 1965, and she preceded him in death in | 12 | | September 2021; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Tom Duckett formerly worked at Eagle Signal, the | 14 | | East Moline Works of International Harvester, the Bendix | 15 | | Corporation, Quad City Die Casting, and Aramark, from which he | 16 | | retired as area operations engineer after 28 years of service | 17 | | in 1998; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Tom Duckett deeply loved his family; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Tom Duckett was preceded in death by his wife, | 20 | | Luanne; his parents; and his siblings, Ethyl Hill, Arlyne | 21 | | Sheil, and Robert Duckett; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Tom Duckett is survived by his sons, Terrence | 2 | | Duckett and G. Scott (Andrea) Duckett, and his grandchildren, | 3 | | Alyssa Duckett, Shaun Duckett, and Alayna Duckett; therefore, | 4 | | be it
| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 7 | | Thomas H. "Tom" Duckett and extend our sincere condolences to | 8 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 9 | | further
| 10 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 | | presented to the family of Tom Duckett as an expression of our | 12 | | deepest sympathy.
