| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 |
| learn of the death of Mary Frances Bowers of Memphis, | 4 |
| Tennessee, formerly of Centralia, who passed away on December | 5 |
| 30, 2007; and
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, She was born on January 23, 1947 in Bolivar, | 7 |
| Tennessee; she was the daughter of John Henry and Bennie Ruth | 8 |
| (Crisp) Jones; and
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, She graduated from Lincoln Grade School in | 10 |
| Centralia and Hammond High School in Hammond, Indiana; and
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, She was employed with U.S. Steel as a computer | 12 |
| analyst until her retirement; she was of the Baptist faith; and
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; her | 14 |
| brothers, Butch Jones, Larry Jones, and Seneca Jones; and her | 15 |
| sisters, Sharon Addison, Melroy Perry, Marvaline Jones, and | 16 |
| Kathye Jones; and
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Mary Frances Bowers will be deeply | 18 |
| felt by those who knew and loved her, especially her husband, | 19 |
| Willie Bowers Jr.; her daughters, Tara Jones and Tonya Ordan | 20 |
| and husband, James; her adopted son, Trevion Decari |

| aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL | 7 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 8 |
| her family and friends, the passing of Mary Frances Bowers; and | 9 |
| be it further
| 10 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 |
| presented to the family of Mary Frances Bowers as a symbol of | 12 |
| our sincere sympathy.
