| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Floyd Arnold Langenwalter of | 4 | | Collinsville, who passed away on November 22, 2021; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Floyd Langenwalter was born to Arnold and Oradell | 6 | | (Dettmar) Langenwalter on September 11, 1923; he graduated | 7 | | from McCray Dewey High School in 1941; he served in the U.S. | 8 | | Army during World War II; he married Dorothy Ann Schermann on | 9 | | May 15, 1949; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Floyd Langenwalter worked as a meat inspector for | 11 | | the Department of Agriculture for 35 years before retiring; | 12 | | and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Floyd Langenwalter was a member of the St. John | 14 | | United Church of Christ in Collinsville, where he held | 15 | | numerous leadership positions, including president of the | 16 | | Church Council; he was also a member of the Masonic Lodge #712 | 17 | | in Collinsville and the Scottish Rites; he was a Shriner; he | 18 | | enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, bowling, refinishing | 19 | | furniture, and traveling with family and friends; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Floyd Langenwalter was preceded in death by his | 21 | | parents; his brothers, Milton and Dale Langenwalter; and his |

| 1 | | sisters, Carol Howerton and Shirley Crossman; and
| 2 | | WHEREAS, Floyd Langenwalter is survived by his wife of 72 | 3 | | years, Dorothy Ann; his daughters, Janet (Mitch) Boyce and | 4 | | Jane (Bob) Sudhoff; his grandchildren, Beth (Scott) Heffren, | 5 | | Brian (Ashley) Boyce, Amy (Brian) Stoff, and Christopher | 6 | | Sudhoff; his great-grandchildren, Riley and Reid Heffren, | 7 | | Erica and Morgan Boyce, and Sawyer and Lily Stoff; and | 8 | | numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Floyd Arnold Langenwalter and extend our sincere condolences | 12 | | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | 13 | | it further
| 14 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 15 | | presented to the family of Floyd Langenwalter as an expression | 16 | | of our deepest sympathy.
