| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Henry C. Price of Rock Island, who | 4 | | passed away on December 4, 2021; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Henry Price was born to Edward Sr. and Gretchen | 6 | | (Bassett) Price in Dwight, Kansas on March 21, 1932, the | 7 | | oldest of 13 children; he attended schools in Arkansas; he | 8 | | moved to Moline in 1949 then joined the U.S. Navy in 1950; he | 9 | | served four years in the Navy on two different ships during the | 10 | | Korean Conflict;
he married Joan Duesterhaus at First Lutheran | 11 | | Church in Moline on April 16, 1955; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Henry Price worked at John Deere Plow/Planter | 13 | | Works, Moline for 27 and a half years; he later worked at | 14 | | Teske's in the lawn mower shop for 15 years; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Henry Price was a member of Union 434 East Moline | 16 | | and Moline VFW #2153; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Henry Price was a Green Bay Packers and Chicago | 18 | | Cubs fan; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Henry Price was preceded in death by his parents; | 20 | | his son, Steven Price; and four brothers; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Henry Price is survived by his wife of 66 years, | 2 | | Joan; his children, Michelle (Bill) Kopcho and Colleen (Mike) | 3 | | Buckwalter; his grandchildren, Marc Kopcho (Kristen Dietz), | 4 | | Seth (Ashley) Buckwalter, and Elizabeth Buckwalter; his | 5 | | step-great-grandsons, Brody, Greyson, and Finn; three sisters; | 6 | | one brother; and his several nieces and nephews; therefore, be | 7 | | it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
| 10 | | Henry C. Price and extend our sincere
condolences to his | 11 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved
him; and be it | 12 | | further
| 13 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
| 14 | | presented to the family of Henry Price as an expression of
