| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of
Paul E. | 4 | | Gardner of Bartonville, who passed away on April 21, 2012; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, He was born on September 11, 1928, in Peoria to | 6 | | Charles "Al" and Anna M. (Ketch) Gardner; he married Nancy Paul | 7 | | on December 21, 1979, in Eureka; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, He served in the United States Navy at the end of | 9 | | World War II; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, He was a 42-year journeyman electrician that | 11 | | worked out of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers | 12 | | Local 34; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in | 14 | | Bartonville; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, He enjoyed the water and was a boater for over 20 | 16 | | years; he enjoyed photography, flower gardening, and his | 17 | | grandchildren; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; his 4 | 19 | | brothers; and his sister; and |

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Paul Gardner is survived by his wife, Nancy; his | 2 | | sons, Thomas (Elizabeth) Gardner, Gerald Gardner, Daniel | 3 | | (Silvana) Gardner, and Benjamin (Tami) Gardner; his daughters, | 4 | | Christine (Steven) Simpson and Elizabeth Gardner; his stepson, | 5 | | Steven Paul; his stepdaughters, Sherry (Rex) Mustain and Sandra | 6 | | (John) Post; his sisters, Sister Lucille Gardner, Mildred | 7 | | Bannister, and Frances (Marvin) Ioeger; his 18 grandchildren; | 8 | | and his 8 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 10 | | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 11 | | we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of | 12 | | Paul Gardner; and be it further
