| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Henry James Pye, III of Bolingbrook, who | 4 | | passed away on April 8, 2014; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Henry Pye was born in Chicago on September 23, | 6 | | 1944 to Eugenia Lewis and Henry James Pye, II; he was educated | 7 | | in Chicago and a graduate of Stanford University in Stanford, | 8 | | California with a degree in Engineering; he served in the | 9 | | United States Air Force and was discharged on May 27, 1971; he | 10 | | was married to Diane Bell from 1971 to 1987, and, in 1989, | 11 | | married Carole Caywood; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Henry Pye was employed by Bell Communications from | 13 | | 1969 until 1992; he worked in the Chicago office as an engineer | 14 | | and later in the Lisle office as a graphic artist; he also | 15 | | worked for Motorola in Oakbrook and Sprint in Rosemont as a | 16 | | cellular phone engineer; he retired in 2004; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Henry Pye enjoyed drawing and playing cards and | 18 | | slots; he was a member of the DuPage County Democratic | 19 | | Committee and was a member of the "slackers" at the Bolingbrook | 20 | | Aquatic Center; and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Henry Pye was preceded in death by his parents, |

| 1 | | and by his step-father, George Whitfield; and
| 2 | | WHEREAS, Henry Pye is survived by his wife, Carole | 3 | | Caywood-Pye; his children, Yurialyse Pye, Henry James Pye IV | 4 | | (Kimberly), Daniel Pye, Ashley Lyles, and Camille Pye; a | 5 | | sister, Sharon Harris; a nephew, Charles Harris; his | 6 | | sister-in-law, Debra Caywood-Rukas; brother-in-law, Linus | 7 | | Rukus; nephew, Jake Rukus; his grandchildren, Alexander Pye, | 8 | | Kennedy Pye, Makayla Pye, and Sheridan Lyles; and a host of | 9 | | relatives and friends; therefore, be it
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 11 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 12 | | Henry James Pye, III, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 13 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 14 | | further
