| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Vernon Lee "Vernie" Goodman of Moline, | 4 | | who passed away on May 19, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Vernon Goodman was born in Seabring, Florida to | 6 | | Vernon B. and Lela (Kistenmacker) Goodman on February 11, 1959; | 7 | | he graduated from Rock Island High School and served in the | 8 | | U.S. Army National Guard; he married Debra Randall in Rock | 9 | | Island on August 24, 2012; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Vernon Goodman was employed by Rudy's Tacos, | 11 | | National Railroad, and Moline Forge; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Vernon Goodman enjoyed hiking, winter camping, | 13 | | walking his dog, and spending time with his grandchildren; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Vernon Goodman was preceded in death by his | 15 | | parents and his brother, Raymond Goodman; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Vernon Goodman is survived by his wife, Deb; his | 17 | | son, Michael (Davia) Goodman; his grandchildren, Tristen | 18 | | Goodman, Jada Saffell, and Brayden Goodman; his sisters, | 19 | | Jacqueline (Tim Miller) Goodman, Pam (Gary Smith) Long, Sherri | 20 | | (Dennis) Scrutchfield, and Brenda (Jim) Pyrz; his brothers, |
