| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Jacqueline Louise Day of Springfield, who | 4 | | passed away on July 6, 2013; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jacqueline Day was born on September 26, 1940, in | 6 | | Springfield; her parents were Margaret Vivian King and James | 7 | | "Jack" Edward Martin; she married John William Day, Sr. on | 8 | | February 13, 1965; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Jacqueline Day retired from the Illinois | 10 | | Department of Public Aid after many years of dedicated service; | 11 | | and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Jacqueline Day was a member of Miracle Temple | 13 | | Church of God in Christ, where she was the church mother and | 14 | | charter member since 1984; she was very faithful and dedicated | 15 | | to the work of the Lord; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Jacqueline Day was preceded in death by her | 17 | | parents; her sister, Mary Horton; her brother, Eddie Griswell, | 18 | | Jr.; and her son, John W. Day, Jr.; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Jacqueline Day is survived by her husband, John | 20 | | Day, Sr.; her daughters, Pamela Chandler, Joan (Theo) Joyner, |

| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her | 9 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Jacqueline Louise Day; | 10 | | and be it further
