HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to recognize Chief Mary Frake of the Lake in the Hills Police Department on the occasion of her retirement; and

WHEREAS, Chief Frake has served as a beacon of integrity and leadership within the Lake in the Hills Police Department in McHenry County since 1994; and

WHEREAS, Chief Frake began her illustrious career as a patrol officer, walking the beat and ensuring the safety of neighborhoods in Lake in the Hills with diligence and compassion; and

WHEREAS, While serving as investigator and co-commander of the McHenry County Major Investigations Assistance Team, Chief Frake demonstrated exceptional investigative skills and a relentless pursuit of justice, solving complex cases and bringing closure to victims and their families; and

WHEREAS, Chief Frake was promoted to her current position within the Lake in the Hills Police Department in 2021; during her tenure, she has provided visionary leadership, implemented innovative strategies, and fostered positive community relations; and

WHEREAS, Throughout her distinguished career, Chief Frake has exemplified the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and honor, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues, subordinates, and citizens alike; and

WHEREAS, Chief Frake has announced plans for her well-deserved retirement, marking the conclusion of an exceptional career after 30 years of dedicated service; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we recognize Chief Mary Frake of the Lake in the Hills Police Department on her retirement, and we thank her for her outstanding service, unwavering dedication, and invaluable contributions to the safety and well-being of her community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That we wish her a joyous and fulfilling retirement; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Chief Frake as an expression of our esteem and respect.
