SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Maurice "Bub" Connoyer of Godfrey, who passed away on January 23, 2012; and

WHEREAS, He was born February 9, 1934, in Alton, the son of Edward and Marguerite (Dwiggins) Connoyer; he married Marian "Dickie" Zimmermann at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto on June 4, 1955; and

WHEREAS, He was a bricklayer for Bricklayers Local No. 8 and No. 65 for 43 years; he was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Grafton and a past member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto; he was a member of the Knights of Columbus; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his son, James Edward Connoyer; his parents; his brothers, Thomas Connoyer and Dennis Connoyer; his sisters, Alice Richardson and Ann Darr; and his father and mother-in-law, Dick and Ann Zimmermann; and

WHEREAS, Maurice Connoyer is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Ellen Connoyer Case (Kevin), Mary Ann Klunk (William), Julie Connoyer (Tim Eckels), and Christy Connoyer; his grandchildren, Greg Harkey, Eric Harkey, and Kaleb Connoyer; his stepgrandchild, Theresa Mosby; his great-grandchildren, Eric James Harkey, Michaela Davis, and Kayla Bruhn; his brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Sandy Connoyer; and his nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Maurice Connoyer; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Maurice Connoyer as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
