1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 644
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 644 on page 5, in
3 line 16, by replacing "on the" with "on a designated" and by
4 replacing "provided the" with "provided (i) the"; and
5 on page 5, in line 18, after "policy", by inserting "and (ii)
6 a sign is displayed identifying the voting booth in which the
7 instruction terminal is located"; and
8 on page 9, in line 19, after "mail.", by inserting the
9 following:
10 "Nothing in this Section shall be construed to authorize
11 absentee voting by electronic ballot forms transmitted by
12 modem."; and
13 on page 14, in line 16, after "purpose," by inserting "except
14 when electronic ballot forms are used,"; and
15 on page 14, by replacing lines 17 through 20 with the
16 following:
17 "designated area on the ballot sheet, and shall not be an
18 "X", a check mark, or any other recognizable letter of the
19 alphabet, number, or other symbol that which can be
20 recognized as an identifying mark.".
