1 AN ACT to amend certain Acts in relation to funerals and
2 burials.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Funeral or Burial Funds Act is
6 amended by changing Section 6 as follows:
7 (225 ILCS 45/6) (from Ch. 111 1/2, par. 73.106)
8 Sec. 6. Forfeiture of payments. It is unlawful for any
9 such agreement or agreements to provide for forfeiture and
10 retention of payments upon any such agreement or series of
11 agreements as and for liquidated damages therein in excess of
12 25% of the payments made or $300.00, whichever sum is less.

14 Section 10. The Cemetery Care Act is amended by changing
15 Section 1 as follows:

17 Sec. 1. Short title. This Act may be cited shall be known
18 as the the "Cemetery Care Act."

20 Section 15. The Illinois Pre-Need Cemetery Sales Act is
21 amended by changing Section 3 as follows:

23 Sec. 3. Short title. This Act shall be known and may be
24 cited as the the "Illinois Pre-Need Cemetery Sales Act".
