      205 ILCS 695/11 new
          Amends  the  Automated  Teller  Machine   Security   Act.
      Requires that surveillance cameras shall be installed to view
      and record activities occurring at automated teller machines.
      Requires the recordings to be preserved for at least 30 days.

 1        AN ACT to amend the Automated Teller Machine Security Act
 2    by adding Section 11.
 3        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:
 5        Section 5.  The Automated Teller Machine Security Act  is
 6    amended by adding Section 11 as follows:
 7        (205 ILCS 695/11 new)
 8        Sec.   11.  Surveillance   cameras.   An  operator  shall
 9    install a surveillance camera or cameras that view and record
10    all persons entering an  automated  teller  facility  located
11    within  the  interior  of a building and that view and record
12    all activity occurring within a minimum of 3 feet in front of
13    an automated teller machine located outside  a  building  and
14    open  to the outdoor air.  Financial transactions made at the
15    automated teller machine need not be recorded.   An  operator
16    shall preserve the recordings made by the camera for at least
17    30 days.
